It is the time to think and probe seriously in to the issue of caste in understanding the nature and scope of the social and political system in India. Observing and experiencing the conflicting interests in the emerging political demands, we the Organizers feel the necessity to debate a day long Discussion on “Caste and its Role in Indian Social     Transformation”

 We are inviting speakers from different social and political backgrounds (Social activists, Thinkers and academicians) to present papers and debate this issue seriously, to come out with a critical analysis regarding the origin of caste and its consequences in Indian Social, economic, political and cultural spheres.
